This space was created to share who I am and my research in the field of conservation, but more importantly highlight the organizations and individuals working to make positive change happen in our environments.

Through exploration and research we gather data, and data, in my opinion, is the foundation of science. This data though does not always need to be quantitative, but can be a collection of narratives, opinions and events–past or present. When we listen to all actors involved in any environmental concern, we can begin to pull our resources together and find innovative ways to mitigate or even stop the issue. And usually when one issue is uncovered it leads to another issue that leads to another. Which is why we need to think big, hone in on the details and understand everything in-between. If we know better, we can do better.

Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.

There is one world and we are in this together. So let’s explore it, appreciate it, understand it and take care of it.

Today is going to be a good day.
